"Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs", Mrs. Gro Harlem Brundtland, Norwegian Prime Minister (1987).

In 1992, the Earth Summit in Rio, held under the aegis of the United Nations, formalized the notion of sustainable development and that of the three pillars (economy/ecology/social): economically efficient, socially equitable and ecologically sustainable development.

While aiming to make our own business more sustainable, WBU also strives to improve the sustainability of its operations internationally and to promote green and environmentally committed actors.

Finally, our role is to promote the link between nations through so-called "green" economic projects, particularly in the construction and energy sectors.
